There’s no need to fix what isn’t broken

I came across this video about "Who speaks for Islam" from the feed I get from the Radical Middle Way project. The panel features a traditional Muslima named Dalia Mogahed and the self proclaimed leader of the "reformists" Irshad Manji. The discussion seems to focus around the need (if any) for reinterpreting the Qur'an which Irshad seems to feel is key. Dalia gives a very good rebuttal by making a profound point.

There are many reasons for this, however, the leading one is tribulation and an inability to handle tribulation with the required grace.
